Building Services Design is an activity to design mechanical and electrical services for buildings.

The objects to be surveyed are existing M&E installations and related facilities concerning the safety level of the building, evacuation procedures, readiness for emergency operation and fire fighting equipment.

Building technical assessment is carried out when a building occupancy permit has to be extended every five years.

In getting extension of building occupancy permit (Perpanjangan Izin Penggunaan Bangunan-PIPB or Perpanjangan Kelayakan Menggunakan Bangunan-KMB) from the local authorities; it is mandatory to have building technical assessment done by independent professional engineers.
